Do you have…..

Do you have films or tapes you’d like transferred to DVD? I think most of us want to transfer our filmed memories to video or digital ourselves. Perhaps you have wanted to do this for a while but have never had the opportunity -- or didn’t know how to start. Maybe you’ve even thought of doing this yourself by directly videotaping the screen while your projector was running.  Whatever the reason, there are no more excuses; here’s your opportunity to have it done for you professionally and with the highest standards available.

Don’t be fooled by amateurs or “wannabe’s” who use a converter box to transfer your films. A converter kit is nothing more than a mirrored lens box that can be purchased on eBay for $10 to $40. This cheap method of converting film produces an extremely undesirable quality not even worth putting on DVD. An even worse method is videotaping the projector screen which s extremely dim and grainy. Either of these methods will produce a flickering image of the final product due to frame rate differential of 18 or 24 frames-per-second on film versus 30fps of video.

The correct way to transfer these films is to use a professional conversion machine that electronically compensates for the variable frame rate and produces an image almost as clear as your original film. I use this method with a telecine machine and a high end digital camera to produce the highest quality DVD achievable. Where possible, I also make some modifications during the conversion process to balance and enhance the color of the original film.

Because of my 30 years experience as a computer hardware and software technician, I always pay special attention to detail. Your films are not simply copied to DVD; they are edited into a production!  If your movies are of the silent type with no sound, I can also add appropriate background music and sound effects to make them enjoyable for viewing by everyone.
